Quick Wooden Frame

Here is a really quick frame I did last night using some of my stash I had . Its a wood frame I purchased at Michael's and I painted it with Martha Stewart paint and used some glimmer mist then I added the embellishments. I used K&CO line of paper I had and added zva bling I had. Its fast and easy to make once the paint dried it took me like 15 min. I think that's a record for me! lol

I'm off shopping to day with my friend Toni. We are doing scrapbook shopping to a couple of our local SB stores so lets see what we find. I need to get a few things for a Blog Hop I'm going to be participating in next month on June 22nd! Its my friend Heather who is hosting it  I will post a photo later of the grand prize you can win and there will be a lot of prizes you can win and the 3 Girl Jam is a part of it! Its going to be fun! I added her Blog Hop button on my side bar go and check things out! I will have more info later and I hope you come join in and me on the HOP!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial day! I had a great time here at home with my family yesterday! We just relaxed and I was able to do a little crafting and we had a BBQ that was amazing and spent some time with my neighbor and we had a class of wine and visited in the afternoon. It was just a perfect day!

I had forgotten to post a picture of the birthday card I had made for Sal and as I was going through my photos I found the card. So here it is and its of his favorite Disney character Tigger. Its  simple but it came out cute and he loved it!

7Gypsies book covers

Here is something I had made a while back and I just now am posting a photo of it. I made this using 7Gypsies book covers I had purchased and finlay got around to making something with them. Its a couple of original photos of my great grandmother and great great grandmother and the little boy in it is my great uncle. They are from my Moms side and I thought this was perfect to display them. I used what I had here in my stash a little of K&CO, Prima ,some old lace from my Grandmas stash and some metal corners from 7Gypsie. I Will always treasure the photos because its the only one I have of my great great grandmother.  Just knowing this is where it all started. Family is such a big part of who we are and where we came from!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and thanks again for visiting!

Really Cool Find !

Look what I found today when I was shopping at Target! It is 9 rolls of kids craft tape! Yup it for kids but Its kind of like Tim Holtz tissue tape. You can stamp on it! How cool is that. It was only 6.99 for the 9 rolls!  It reminded me of washi tape. I am going to another store maybe later this week to see if they have more colors because they looked like there was but this store was out. I can not wait to see what I can do with this tape. I think it was a cool find today and I wanted to share this with you. Target is also selling the SMASH line at the stores I mean all of it! Just like Michael's now. I love to go and see what different stores carry because you never know what you might find to craft with.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and thanks again for visiting!

First Time at Doggy Spa

Yesterday we took Amy and Lucy to a new pet Spa that just opened in Montebello last week. Its our Veterinarian who who opened a doggy spa with her cousin. Its called Metro Pet Spa and its really a nice place. The specialize in body scrubs and doggy facials and massages for dogs. They also do amazing pet grooming with hair coloring and they add a little bling to your dog. Lots shimmering perfumes and pet jewelry and pet supplies. They even have a doggy Jacuzzi ! They totally cater to your pet and what ever the owner wants and if you want to stay and watch what they do you are more than welcome too. Amy and Lucy loved all the attention they gave them. They had a color enhancement shampoo with a fresh oat meal scrub and a moisturizing treatment. They hand dry them and them brush them after and they brushed there teeth for them. And at the end they had glitter perfume sprayed on them and they did their nails too. The prices are amazing low and they do imported mud treatment with mud from the dead sea. They are also doing a doggy daycare program and photography. You are also able to wash your own pet yourself if you like and they will mix your shampoos and treatments for you. They do cucumber and blueberry facials too for them. We took a few photos of Lucy while they gave her bath. They looked so cute and there coats were so shinny and bright! They use on all natural products and are a paper less pet spa. they even have Starbucks coffee and tea for you while you wait and a flat screen TV with cable for you to watch. We are going to take Baby and Paco next week for their bath/treatment I cannot wait to take them. I highly recommend them! I will share our next visit with you.

Lucy`s first visit!

Have a great week everyone and thanks for visiting!

work In Progress

Its been busy here at home and I have started on a few projects for fathers day and a couple of gifts. Here is what My work area looked like but its going to get messier as I work on my projects. I am so excited because I finally had my new track lighting put in yesterday. It was a bigger job than we had expected but it came out just the way I wanted it. The electrician was here until 11 PM. I love how I have brighter light were I needed it directly over my new work desk!

I hope everyone had a great Saturday I did a little more cleaning out of my supplies and I made more room, so you know what that means...lol like I really need more! I am going to do a little more scrapbook shopping next week with my friend Toni but I will try to control my self but I just cant help my self or actually we both cant. lol I hope to get some crafty time in tomorrow.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks again for visiting!

New Work Area

Here is my new work/hide away desk I had put in this weekend. Finally it was installed and I am very happy they way it turned out! The cool thing is I can just close it up when I am done crafting. and kinda hide my mess...lol I added my favorite self healing mats to it to protect my work surfaces when I use inks or paints. I am also going to have track lighting installed so I can have better lighting over my work area. It actually matches my room decor kinda vintage looking and the covers on the lights match my other lights in my room perfect! I just needed 3 lights and I found it at my local hardware store.

Now its time to get busy with fathers day and a couple of other ideas  I have to work on. I will share photos as I get started and I cant believe Fathers day is just around the corner. Its finally getting warm here in Cali so summer is almost upon us!

Mother`s Day Projects

Here are the two projects I did for my Mom and one to take to the cemetery for my Grandma.
I did this layout of my Mom and her brother and sister in front of my Grandparents house on the last time we were there before we handed the keys over to the new owners. My Mom wanted this photo to be one this layout. Its the last time in front of the old house. Grandmas house is over 103 years old and still standing after all these years. It will always be our home in our hearts forever!

This is a little keepsake box I made for my Mom. I added some lace and flowers and in side I put some jewelry for her that I bought from my friend Toni who she creates beautiful necklaces, earrings and bracelets! she is also so a scrapbooker too. I added a beautiful poem in it for my Mom and I this is what is what the poems says.

When God set the world in place, when He hung the stars up in space,
when He made the land and the sea, then He made you and me.
He sat back and saw all that was good; He saw things to be as they should.
Just one more blessing He had in store; He created a mother, but whatever for?
He knew a mother would have a special place to shine His reflection on her child's face.
A mother will walk the extra mile just to see her children smile.
She'll work her fingers to the bone to make a house into a home.
A mother is there to teach and guide, a mother will stay right by your side.
She'll be there through your pain and strife;
she'll stay constant in your life. A mother will lend a helping hand
until you have the strength to stand. She'll pick you up when you are down;
when you need a friend she'll stick around. A mother is one who listens well,
will keep her word; will never tell. A mother never pokes or pries
but stands quietly by your side, giving you the strength you need,
encouraging you to succeed. A mother is one who can be strong
when you need someone to lean on. You're more than a mother to me;
a reflection of Him in your face I see, a love that knows no boundaries.
I'm glad that you chose to be all this and more to me.
You share a love that knows no end, you're more than my mother,
and you are my friend.
Love you Mom
Joe XOXO

It was a great Friday today we also celebrated my brothers birthday with family at one of his favorite restaurants. Then we were off to do a little shopping then we got some Starbucks on our way home.

The Family Quilt

Just 3 more days until Mothers Day and I just wanted to share this poem with you. Its one of my favorites I thought of my Grandmother.

The Family Quilt
Our family quilt was started
generations in the past.
Designed with love,
its pattern's rich
in values that will last.
Each person sews another square
of memories that endure,
While challenges add strength
that makes our family life secure.
And stitching it together
threads of closeness,
warmth, and caring
Make it cozy and more comforting
with every year of sharing.

Our Family is a circle of
    strength and love
With every birth and every
    union, the circle grows.
Every crisis faced together
    makes the circle stronger.
Every joy shared adds more
    love.

Mother`s Day Canvas Projects

Here are the 2 canvases I finished for a Mothers Day order. One Canvas is for  her Mom and the other one is for her Mother in Law. I used a flat panel canvas and used 2 different colors of Glimmer Mist and I used paper from Kaiser Kraft and die cuts and the flowers are from Prima. I added some pearls and a little stickles to add some sparkle to the flowers. I punched out some butterfly's to give it some dimension. I cant wait until she picks it up and I hope she likes it.

This is what my work area looks like on Tuesday. I am making more Mothers day projects for my Mom and my Grandmother. I am going to make something so we can take to the cemetery to place on her grave for Mothers day. I'm not sure what I am going to do yet I will post photo's soon as I am done. It looks like I am going to make a run to my local craft store today to pick up a few things for my projects.

Have a great week and thanks again for visiting! ;)

Busy weekend!

It was a busy weekend here at home and I had running around to do with Sal. We had some shopping to do and had to take the car in for a minor repair. I finally finished 2 more mothers day projects late last night. I will post photos tomorrow soon as I have a chance. I did some organizing of my clear stamps I had wanted to do for some time. I went to my local office supply store and bought a couple of 3 ring binders and some page protectors to put my stamps in. I found some really cool page protectors that had different size pockets and Martha Stewart had really nice ones that I bought. It was so easy to put them in and I just had to cut them down so they would fit. It was about time I had done this so it makes it so easy to just grab the binder and pick the stamps I want to use. I had the clear stamps in a huge vintage type suit case and I hardly used them because I was too lazy to go get the box and search through them. Its nice to have them at a reach.

I cant wait until this coming weekend because My new work are table/cabinet will be installed for me.
It was suppose to be ready this week but they were a little busy this past week so I will waiting for the weekend to come.I have a busy week ahead with Mother's day and 2 Birthdays and one of them is Sal`s!! So wish me luck! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Thank you Card

I finally finished last night! Here is the card & envelope I made using Prima Romantique line which is on of my favorites! I just love the destressed colors and I love the flowers because I love the vintage looke this line has. Its a older line but it still a favorite of mine. I made this card for the reality company who sold my Granparents house to thank them for all they did for us. I think we are going to send this with a huge flower arangement to let them know how much we appriciate all they did for us. It ws hard to sell this old house especialy during this time when no one is buying homes at this time. I hope they will like it I am just trying to find the perfect thank poem to add to it.

Have a Happy Thursday and thanks again for visiting!

On my work area Wednesday!

This is whats on my Work space today!I am making a thank you card this is what I have so far. Soon as I am done I will share a photo. I have a small area I am working on because i am having a new work table made for me this week. Sal`s Brother in-law is working on it this week. He came a measured and wanted to see what I had in mind. He is the one who designed and built all my cabinets in my Studio and along the way I have made different changes. He said no problem and I should have it this weekend. That's why my space is so tiny and its in front of my computer area. I am excited because I will be able to close up my work table to hide it. It will look like part of the cabinets. I am so excited and cant wait for the weekend to come!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far its halfway over! Its been very cloudy and kinda drizzly here the last few days and it almost feels like the rainy season is not over quite yet. Its OK because I love this kinda of weather it get me in a crafty mood and I am also working on a couple of canvas projects this week. I will keep you up to date with photo soon as I am done. Oh Mothers day is just around the corner so I have to get busy with that too!

Enjoy the rest of you day and thanks again for visiting!
