Grandma`s embroidery ring

This is one my my Grandmas embroidery rings and old piece of costume jewlery I used to make this layout. This is her on the left and with 2 of her sisters. They would all try to visit at my Great aunts house at least one a month when Grandma was in good health.I loved to go when I was able to and loved to hear the old stories they used to tell about them growing up with their 12 siblings. Family time was the best and Grandma was so loved by her sisters and brothers. We still meet with her sisters like they always did and I'm glad to still be a part if that and my Mom enjoys the visits with her aunts.

Have a great week!

Do you remember Jeffy pop ?

I did a little shopping the other day and I stopped and turned my head and I saw the tin pan of Jiffy pop popcorn. I had not see this since I was a small kid! I can remember my Grandma and Mom would make this for us as a treat on the weekends as a night time snack and back then it was tin foil not like the black tin like today. When we used to stay overnight on the weekends at Grandmas she would make this on her white old fashioned stove and I would get a kitchen chair to stand on and watch the popcorn pop into this huge foil ball. I guess this is kinda silly but it brought back really special memories to my. Just wanted to share this with you all.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Until next time

Old Ford

Today I spent the whole afternoon with my neighbor Marina and had a blast. We went to lunch and then it was time for a little scrapping! We just scraped the afternoon away and this is what I did. Its My Grandfather and he is holding my Mom she was a little over 1 year and my uncle was about 2. My Mom thinks it was around the 1941. And look what we had for dessert . You know summer is here when you have fresh water melon. I can remember every summer sitting on Grandmas front porch and eating watermelon with my cousins and we would see who could spit the seeds the farthest. Summers were the best at Grandmas house.Today was a wonderful sunny day with my Neighbor and we are doing it again next week.

Its called Imagination Station!  I was like in heaven.. It a scrapbook booth and the sell some of the coolest stuff I have never seen before. Allot of Disney and other really cool scrap booking embellishment's and the prettiest ribbon I have seen! The also sell the entire collection of Harry Potter around! They also sell page kits already made for you and they were really cute! I met the Owner and her daughter and they are the coolest. we chatted away and she was so amazed that I scrapbooked. She told me they had been their for only a few weeks because they were a test booth that D T Disney was trying out to see how it would go and it was a hit! She would know if they will be a permanent part od the D T district very soon. I hope so and look at just a few of the goodies I bought when I was there. a Take a look at the flower ribbon I purchased. I want to go back this week to see them and see if I can get a few more things she was sold out on a few items I wanted she had a lot of old and new Disney item's the have a lot of other ribbons I had never seen and they all matched a lot of the Disney items. Crafty today

I had been wanting to finish up this dress form I had started a long time ago but just had not made time to. I used glimmer chalk and added some paper roses and  jewelry  from my Grandmothers old costume jewelry box she would just save. So I added glimmer chalk to age the roses.I am also working on couple of other projects but I went and did a little shopping again. Its just one more day until the 4th and I'm so excited to have a BBQ with my family tomorrow. We were prepping all the food and did a little marketing for a few last items. Looks like tomorrow will be another hot day and perfect for a BBQ.

Baby & Paco

Here is a quick picture I thought I would share. Last night it was really hot and Paco wanted to come in my scrap room with me and relax in the cool air conditioned room. So Sal took a quick snapshot of the two of them laying down together. This is something they never do because Paco like to be alone most of the time and just stays out of the way of the rest of my dogs. Paco was Grandmas dog and is now a part of our family since Grandma passed away and is doing quite well just a little shy and keeps to himself. Looks like it is going to be another hot day today!
