{ Crafted At The Port }

Grand Opening

 Today is the grand opening of the Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro CA. It is the first craft Market place in San Pedro and I cannot wait to go see it! Its every weekend in an old Navy warehouse at the port of Los Angeles. It will be fun to just go and shop and get inspired looking at all the different kinds of crafters selling and just hanging out in an art filled environment! Take a look HERE! I cannot wait to go and see all the crafters and see what I can find! I think this is going to be something really nice to have here for all of our LA crafters to go and participate and sell in the art industry! { Imaginisce }

 

My friend MaryAnn told me a while back about some really cool tools for crafting from Imaginisce. She really liked them and I had not looked in to them until yesterday while I was out shopping. So I decided to try 2 of them. A cordless D-stress Engraver Paper Edger and I also purchased the Lighted craft tweezers. They are really cool and I just played with them for a bit and I love them! She was right they are really cool to use. So I cannot wait to use them on my projects. Today I also did a little more planting for my Mom a couple of flower baskets and we started on the patio to hang up some of her new flowers. I really like this weather it’s just getting hot and summer is here and 4th of July is only a few days away. I can’t wait!

{ New Sewing Machine! }

 

Look what I got delivered to me yesterday! I had been waiting for this to arrive. I really needed one because the one I had I could not get it to work!! I tried and I tried but no luck. It was a craft sewing machine from Jarome but it did not want to sew!! I went on line for help and I did the videos and when I was reading the reviews from other people it was all bad. :( Some people tried to take theirs to a sewing repair shop and they would not touch it. I paid good money for it a while back and I was only able to use it 2 times then it started to jam. So I am so happy I got this one. It’s easy to use and has an automatic threaded which makes its way easy! Lots of stitch styles but I am not too crazy about the pink. Don’t get me wrong I like pink but not for my craft room. LOL.. I just have to get use to the color... lol now its going to be fun to see what I can create with it soon as I have a chance. It seems everyone is sewing and using it in their projects. And I love how sewing looks in scrapbooking!!

 It finally feels like summer here and it getting HOT and we are have work done here around the house and I have been planting some flowers for my Mom and we are having a small extension to our patio for shade for my Moms flowers and painting and installing new lights around the patio and celling fans for the patio also. Plus we are have 2 trees removed and making room to put up a shaded seating area in one of our corners in the back yard with lighting. And we are going to be adding some kind of a water feature in the yard. A fountain or a small rock water fall. It’s kind of crazy around here and painting and adding window awnings for the sun on a few windows. So its been busy here and we are also getting ready for my Moms knee surgery next month! Its going to be a busy summer for us.I will keep you updated on all the progress here at home. Oh... I was asked to be in another blog hop in september so I let you know the date soon as I can.

 Here is what I came up with. I used a older fall line from Yellow Bicycle.I bought a wooden frame from my local craft store painted it and covered it with paper and added some pearls and edged with chestnut roan ink to distress it a little. I made a cute card with more pearls. I created a tag  and I stamped the branch on it and used a word script stamp for the background. I inked the edges again to distress it a little.

Father`s Day Frames

 I have been a little under the weather the last couple of weeks. It started with allergies I had thought then it went to my sinus and throat now it settled in my chest with a cough. I made an appt to see my Dr on Monday that's the soonest she had. So I finished up 2 simple Father`s day frames to take to the cemetery for my Dad and Grandpa. I bought the frames at my local craft store for $1 and here is what I came up with. I just used some paper I had and got some K&CO fathers day stickers and some Martha Stewart paint and I was done. I want to get them done cause I did not know how was going to feel over the weekend and not in the mood for crafting but I'm done.

WIP Monday

 This is what is on my work area today. I am making Fathers day projects and a few other project too. I am not sure what I am going to make yet ,but I painted a couple of frames so far.

 Its going to be another busy week for me and I have to appt. with my dogs well they are follow ups and the good news they are doing fine! We finally did a test on my Amy to see what was wrong with her tummy and its kinda what the vet was thinking. She has a bad case of acid reflux. That's why she did not ant to eat and had a lot of gas and acid in her tummy. She started on a treatment and the medication seems to be working! FINALLY!! There are several kind of medication we can try if this one doesn't work. I'm so happy for her and I was so worried for a while but know we finally know.

 Tomorrow I am going with my Mom to buy her new car. She has been wanting to so off we go and she wanted me to go with her and my Uncle to see what she should buy. Its really up to her I said. Lets see what we come home with and I will share a photo soon as I can.

Just a peek

 Happy Saturday, I can not believe Just is here and Fathers Day is just around the corner. I am working on a couple of projects for fathers day for my Dad and Grandpa to take to the cemetery on Fathers day I will post  photos soon as I am done.  Here is a peek of what I have been working on the last couple of days creating.
